I first joined Concrete, UEA’s student newspaper as a writer, covering films, games and television, for the paper’s culture supplement Venue. The following year (2015/16) I took over as Film Editor. Alongside my Co-Editor, we presided over the Film section for 13 issues, reworking the review system removing the /10 ratings and encouraging a more holistic approach to expressing your verdict on a film.
